About Assolto

Do you offer credit repair?

Not in the usual sense. Assolto provides credit and funding consulting and education: we help you understand your credit, plan in the right order, and prepare for funding.

Some advice and education services can still be covered by federal and Florida credit-services laws. For any paid service they cover, we follow their protections: a written contract, a 3-day right to cancel, and no fee before the service is fully performed. Our disclosures explain this.

Are you a lender or a loan broker?

No. We don't lend money, arrange loans or take referral fees from lenders. We help you prepare and decide; you apply wherever you choose.

Who do you work with?

Individuals and families preparing for a major financing goal, and small-business owners who want to build business credit and prepare for funding.

What kinds of funding do you help with?

On the business side: business credit cards, business lines of credit and equipment financing. On the personal side: mortgages, auto loans, personal loans, personal credit cards and personal lines of credit. Your personal profile matters for business funding too, because many lenders look at the owner's credit, so we set it up to help you qualify for larger business funding. We prepare your profile and help you decide what to apply for, and when. We don't lend money or arrange loans ourselves; you apply directly with the lender you choose.

Where are you located?

We're based in Fort Myers, Florida, and consultations are held by phone.

The consultation

Is the consultation really free?

Yes. The first consultation is 15 minutes, by phone, with no obligation to continue.

What happens after the consultation?

We share the details of any service that would help, including what it includes and what it costs. If you want to go ahead, everything is put in a written agreement before any work begins. If you don't, that's fine.

What should I have ready?

Your goal, a rough timeline, and your recent credit reports if you have them (you can request them at AnnualCreditReport.com). For a business, a short description of how it's set up today.

Do I need to share my Social Security number?

No. We never ask for your full Social Security number or for account passwords.

Results and expectations

Can you guarantee a higher score or an approval?

No. No one can lawfully promise a specific score, the removal of accurate information, or an approval. Results vary, and lenders make their own decisions. Be careful with anyone who promises otherwise.

Can negative items be taken off my credit report?

Under federal law, accurate, current and verifiable information can stay on your report for as long as the law allows (generally up to seven years for most negative information, and up to ten for some bankruptcies), and no one has the right to have it removed early. You have the right to dispute information you believe is inaccurate, directly with the credit bureau. We explain how that process works; we don't do it for you.

How long does it take?

It depends on your situation and your goal. We'll give you an honest view in your consultation rather than a number designed to sell.

What's the difference between business and personal credit?

Personal credit belongs to you as an individual. A business can build its own credit profile in its own name. Keeping the two separate is often one of the first steps we talk about with business owners.

Cost and privacy

What do your paid services cost?

It depends on what you need, so we explain it after your consultation. You'll see exactly what a service includes and what it costs, in writing, before any work begins.

How do you protect my information?

We collect only what we need to help you, we don't sell your information, and we don't ask for your full Social Security number. Our privacy policy explains the details.
